Rose Hawkinberry, MA, LPC, NCC, CTT

  • Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Southeastern Ohio

  • Managing Director of the Sacred Heart Center of Hope

  • Diocesan Director for Catholic Relief Services, the Catholic Conference of Ohio, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development

  • Runs a support group for adults with mental illness, in conjunction with NAMI of Greater Wheeling

  • Serves as the GR of her local Alanon home group

Rose has over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in the treatment of trauma in children and adolescents. She also holds a National Counselor Certification and is a Certified Trauma Therapist. Additionally, Rose brings more than ten years of experience managing mental health treatment centers as both clinical director and operating director to her position with Catholic Charities. Rose has been an invited speaker on various mental health topics and behavioral health management concepts for groups all over Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. She has served as a consultant with the state of West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in developing community assistance programs and is a past member of the Southeastern Trauma Informed Care Collaborative in Athens, Ohio.

Rose earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from West Liberty University, a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling from Franciscan University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. In the course of her doctoral work, she has been published in several professional journals regarding leadership and business management.

A lifelong resident of the Ohio Valley, Rose lives with her husband, Brent, and their three “fur children;” Butch, Brutus and Dexter in Weirton, WV. She is an avid golfer, but not a very good golfer.

Sarah Travaglino, BS

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from West Virginia University, with a minor in Communications. Throughout her time in college, she completed an internship as a Teaching Assistant for a Psychology 101 course at the university, and also worked part-time as a dishwasher at Weirton Medical Center on weekends and during breaks . She graduated with honors in May of 2020, excited to begin helping people while working in her field.

Sarah has lived in West Virginia throughout her whole life. She grew up with two older brothers and is a major Green Bay Packers fan. She has a rescue dog named Donner, and they are absolutely attached-at-the-hip best friends. In fact, Sarah can often be seen walking with Donner and supplying the neighborhood dogs with many treats.

Leah Perdue, ABA

Leah Perdue earned an Associate of Business Degree from The International Academy of Design and Technology in 2006. She used this education and acquired skills in various financial positions before coming to Catholic Charities of Southeastern Ohio. She has continued to utilize her financial and business skills in managing grant funds and offering financial assistance to those in need.

 

Leah is a lifelong Toronto resident where she currently lives with her husband and their daughters, as well as an adorable pooch named Marley. Leah is actively involved in her church and her community and even serves as a coach for a local teen girls volleyball club.
